Property One offer a comprehensive insurance repair and refurbishment service from claim notification through to completion of on-site works. This service includes roof surveys and 4 hour emergency call outs as well as out of hour services.

The first step is to call us and let us come and assess the works and assist you throughout the process of managing your claim both with your insurance company and any appointed loss adjuster. 

We will discuss the options you have available and submit a quote which covers all that’s affected in your claim.  We can support your claim with images and survey reports also.

Once your claim has been approved you will find that your quote will include options on any new fixtures, fittings and decoration so you have peace of mind that you will be involved and have input every step of the way. 

Note: If you choose more expensive materials than that which are being replaced you may be asked to pay the balance difference in this instance.

If your insurance company has appointed us then we will look at the following options on their behalf:

Attend to your premises to carry out and inspection, take photographic evidence and try to ascertain the cause of the damage. 

Then to validate your claim prepare a schedule of works for your approval.  After this the repairs will be carried out and a final survey will take place.

From this you will find that one of the following steps will be the outcome:

 
Validated

The claim has been accepted and the insurance company accepts to pay full costs for any repairs, minus your policy excess.

 

Repudiated

This simply means that the insurance company does not deem the claim to be covered under your insurance policy.

 

Partially Repudiated

Only part of your claim is accepted and you may be asked to pay the balance yourself as well as any excess.

 

Referred

Dependant on the cause and scope of works, a survey might not be possible and in this instance the claim will be referred back to the insurance company.

 
Our experienced tradesmen are under strict instructions to provide protection to your premises during any works, in most cases we also send in a cleaning team after larger scale works to ensure you are satisfied with the handover.


We ask that you accept the responsibility of clearing obstructive furniture and belongings from the areas which we are working on. Assistance can be arranged at moderate cost for clients who are unable to move heavier objects.
