Property One also offer Periodic Inspection and Testing with reports showing test results, items tested and recommendations for improvements.

 

Periodic Inspection and Test of Electrical Installations

All electrical installations should be subject to Periodic Inspection and Testing to prevent:

• Damage through Wear and Tear
• Corrosion
• Excessive Electrical Loading
• Ageing
• Environmental Influences

Legislation requires that certain electrical installations are maintained in a safe condition and therefore must be periodically tested.

Periodic Inspection and Testing should be considered if:

• It is a requirement implied by Licensing Authorities, Public Bodies, Insurance Companies, Mortgagors and Landlords.
• Additionally, to assess compliance with the current IEE Wiring Regulations.
• On a change of ownership or tenancy of the premises.
• On a change of use of the premises.
• After alterations to the original installation.
• Because of any significant change in the electrical loading of the installation.
• Where there is a reason to believe that damage may have been caused to the installation.

Maximum periods allowed between Periodic Inspections:

Commercial Installations - 5 years.
Industrial Installations - 3 years.
Buildings open to the public - 1 year.
External Installations - 3 years.
Caravan Parks - 1 year.
Fire Alarms - 1 year.
Short Term Installations - 3 months.
Site Installations - 3 months.

We will visit your site, report and quote on the periodic inspections as required in your premises and provide a detailed report booklet on the results of your electrical inspection for your health and safety file.
